This was the boy, the fire bender who was almost in the grips of becoming a young adult, which was meant to save the world. This boy had defiant eyes and that scar… he represent the world so correctly it almost pained him.

In an alternate universe where Aang didn’t survive, the avatar line continued until it landed on Prince Zuko, and when the North Water Tribe found out, they decided to ‘save’ the boy and ‘retain him’ until he was ready to control all elements.

So! Paw07 made me very happy this week, so I decided to update this earlier and give it as a thank you note!

I can’t say how much I like that verse, especially this part of the story, cause of course Zuko doesn’t announce himself as prince, so the north tribe really has no idea –none at all!—of who they want to protect and train!

And errrmmm.. the scene is played a little differently; there should be chief Arnook around, and a little fire, and maybe (just for security reasons) a smaller window… but I really wanted to see this image as one would look at a photo of nepal from National Geographic! Dunno if it really came out as that, but one can hope!
