every single day... by greenapplefreak every single day... by greenapplefreak
Never a dull moment when you're a feanorian!

I remember my youth, and while I never made my own wings to fly, we (my sister and I) still made some pretty stupid things here and there (stuck myself on high threes, threw my sister from the slide, she broke two windows with her fist, each one of us once hit ourselves so hard we blacked out… stuff like that… ^__~), imagine dealing with seven children like that!

In the image:
While fixing Turkafinwe’s arm, Feanaro used this opportunity to teach a lesson to more than one elfling.
And what a better way to do so than reminding youngsters of their silly/embarrassing adventures in the past!
…Nelyafinwe and Kanafinwe were probably responsible for their brother’s misfortune anyway.

Beings boys, these guys probably ran to Feanaro whenever there was trouble. Or I want to imagine so… it’s more entertaining that way. A child who thinks he can fly sounded like the perfect thing to add to the idea.
But how did the two older kids come up with something like a ‘rocket’? well, I figure out they were pretty smart… and they had a lot of free time in their hands ;P
…at least Maglor had the decency to blush…

Also, I love my feathers; I think they didn’t come out as bad as I feared!
...but Feanor sits strangely. ^^;

well imagine having to spend as many days as Feanaro with those kids... damn children always find some odd adventure each day, multiply that for 7... you got your work cut out!

I love Feanoro. He's is a great father and given that he had seven of this little rascals, they turned out alright.

Jumped off a roof top with a towel around my neck after watching Batman. I though my "cape" would slow my descent; instead, gets caught on a tree branch and I swing face first into an oak tree. Didn't break anything, except my dignity. Works better with cartoon physics.

Feanaro is quite angry, though I understand him because I what does 2 boys in the house mean. But 7 boys in the house... It should be something incredible.

This is really cruel. Poor parents. You know, sometimes even very calm and obedient children find some adventures. And I don't think that little feanorings were very calm or obedient children.

It just reminded me of a bit of very childlike time-measurement: Whatever was long in my past can't possibly be remembered by anyone. I see that with my seven-year-old all the time - he's flabbergasted I'd remember things that happened four years ago. Which, in my own warped parental reckoning, seems like just half a year or so :giggle:

So, when Maedhros speaks about something ten years ago, wonder what his a hundred ans something year old father will make of it :D

I adore this, please do more domestic!Feanorians.

I actually thought the way you made Feanor sit was deliberate: that's a natural pose for someone who works at a forge because forges are low slung and it's the only way to sit (I had to make a tower of iron once for art - unfortunately I know this shit).

And I love that Nelyafinwe's 'AGES' would be almost literal.

on other news:

I am so envious! the weirdest thing I did in my school was to learn the part of a motor! that's so not fair, how come you get smithing classes! awww!

and yeah, Nelya is my fav. =D|

As someone else said, if Feanaro had this much trouble with his first three kids, it's no wonder he was [a bit] mad by the time Ambarussa were grown up! (Argh, I'm more used to the common Sindarin names, it's going to take me forever to remember the additional father and mother names.) Still, Feanor's expression in the second panel was hilarious, as well as Maedhros's!

Awww.. so cute! I'm glad you showed this side of Feanor. Too many people only focus on him being angry or his obsessive smith craft. Frankly, with seven kids, he had to have been involved or I'm sure that Nerdanel would've said "Never again" after the first two or three.

As for the actual art, I love the feathers. I think they look amazing! And frankly, I don't find Feanor's legs to look that strange. The way he's sitting, I get the impression that he's too tall for the stool and has to bend his knees in order to not slouch.

I know, ppl often foret that when you follow a leader, it is often out of love. so yeah: smart guy, charismatic leader, superb speaker, that is nto enough, especially with elves: kindness and tolerance were to be expected; at least to some degree and at soem point in his life.

also, responsible parent. Nerdanel would have left him if he was not commited to their kids.all of them.

So feanaro looks ok? wee!
