What if No. 27: In Dreams (1/3)

What if everything that happened in the Silmarillion concerning the war on the jewels was only a dream.

In the image:

Maglor burnt his hand while holding one of the last two Silmarils made by his father. The pain was so strong that for a moment he could not hear, or smell or feel anything else beyond the burning of his hand.

Then it rolled of his hand, and he was able to sense the world around him again…but Maitimo was no longer there.

Smoke was coming out of the earth and it obscured his vision, and the only thing he could do was yell for his brother; he yelled so hard that his throat burned and he propelled out of his pillow in his bedroom in Formenos.

So! A different AU for this new year! Can you imagine how traumatized Maglor would be if all had been a dream? I would be very shocked.
