“Brother!”

I made this because of reasons.


...reasons being this:

‘He let Loki cut his hair, after some coaxing. And after Loki agreed to cut his own hair as well, so that Thor didn’t have to be the only youngster in the Asgardian court with only an inch or two of hair. He never stopped making Loki cut his hair after that, and you always cut your hair at the same time, isn’t that right Loki?’

In other words, the Frostiron galactic saga I’ve been reading in the last months finally, finally, reached planet earth, which means there probably will be a meeting between Thor and Loki.



In the image: my ideal meeting, aka. “If I could have just one wish for my no-birthday, it would be this…”

Loki meets Thor for the first time in 5 years and the first thing he notices is that Thor has now a thick, long braid.

Thor has never let his hair grow past his shoulders.

Because they always held it at the same height.

hence the:

“Tho—“

“Brother!”


(ok, ok, I don't think their reunion will go like that, but this is what I was thinking when I read about Loki cutting Thor's hair...)


Also, Loki calls his brother 'Thor' because he still needs to process a lot of issues, while Thor, labels Loki as 'brother' above any other title, issue, or action.

...That is not to say that Thor has not changed; in the story, Loki goes through a bit a journey of self discovery and he changes...a lot. So logic tells me Thor must have changed too. Still, it's would be nice that despite it all, he still considers Loki his brother and greets him fondly.




More on the subject of why I didn't add the dialoges to the image:

well, because the image kinda has it's own dialoge right there. I deliverately placed a lot of distance between the adults Loki and Thor, but in the middle there was still a memory/conversation going on.
