Here are the seven sons of Feanor, discussing over who is going to take what land and why can’t they go attack Morgoth head on and be done with it…
I began this drawing 3 years ago; the reason why it took me almost two years to finish it are a) this image is actually 40X34 cm aprox, b) I insisted on using my newly bought watercolors even though I have no idea who to use them, and c) the paper is not made for watercolors, so every time I took it out of its corner I could only made a few strokes before the paper got all crumpled… Also, every time I took the pencil I changed something on them, and when I was painting Celegorm’s hair yellow I read an essay about genetics that told me the he may not be ‘yellow blonde’ but ‘silver blonde’ like his grandmother. In short: made me doubt a lot, took a lot of time, but came rather nice at the end. Disclaimer: the Sons of Feanor™ are a creation of JRR Tolkien. |

 reports, 23h 12m agoDaily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. Our objective is to recognise deviants who deserve more recognition and to feature deviations with less than 10 original comments. The 0-5 Comments Issues feature a deviant as well as 3 deviations with less than 5 original comments from a wide selection of art.
