Guess what my new obsession is?
;P

So! after spending way too much money on old Batman Comics, I said "hey! I can so colour like this guy!"
...turns out I can't.
Still, I enjoyed the pobilitiy, and drawing Batman is not that hard: practically no face, muscles all around, and the rest of the page is covered with the cape. ^^;

This Batman, However, is not the real Batman... After reading quite an interesting page:

(specially since Episode 27)
I decided to make some 'quasi cover art' but I also discovered I'm terrible when it comes to deliver quick art. (Whatever I draw here, ussually is on the 'in progress' file for a least three weeks)

In the story, Bruce Wayne battles Ras Al Gul and 'dies' (and I say 'dies', because in the comic universe, no one ever stays dead for long) so now Dick Grayson has to step in and clean up all the mess Bruce left.
Yeah, Tim Drake goes alongto. But I got enamoured with the idea, and now I have a bunch of speudo Grayson's sketches praising around...

Gah! It's Batman~! :heart: I have had my heart on Batman for years and years, and this is a marvelous piece of art, even if this is not the 'real' Batman, as you say. Still, this is magnificient! I'm absolutely blown away by the pose you've designed him in, and the addition of dear little Robin in the background. The cityscape looks amazing as well! Wonderful job on all of this!

yes, I too LOVE Batman (so let's for a moment not discuss the whole Battle for the Cowl thing...) recentle I've heard many ppl critizise Robin, but a) he's cool and b) he's a BIG part of Batman's life...
thanks for the comment again!!

People have been crtisizing Robin since forever~ *sigh* I mean, in the 60's, Batman was almost discontinued because some psychologist kept saying that Batman and Robin were acting out homosexual fantasties. A lot of hate for Robin was spawned then. -_- I don't have a problem is they were enacting homosexual fantasties by running around in the tights, but seriously, they're relationship is like father/son, not rich paedophile/little boy. Some people can be so blind about some things.

Whoops, total rant. ^^;

You're welcome for the comment.^^

bah...pycologists have way too much free time in their hands (I should know, two are my friends, and I have yet to see them work)

aren't circus peopel ALWAYS wrokign in thights (and in daylight!) and you don't se anyone co0mplainign about them perverting young minds, are you?
...that guy probably just hat the hots for the Big Bat and machinated all thsi to promote the creation of slashy pictures.

...which is fine, I won't complain about some of them, as logn as I can diferentiate about cannon comic and invented reality

This is a great piece. And to add to the previous discussion. Dick is a better batman then Bruce cause Dick is a interesting character. Bruce as a character has basically become what he was suppose to not be. A flawless demigod who can defeat virtually anyone by being dressed as a flying rodent. Dick is imperfect and that makes it interesting. Dick does not have a plan for every possible situation as has not studied under everyone except Jesus like Bruce seems to have.

why thanks for the comment!
now let me cut a nice reply for you!

Oh yeah, while Bruce is this 'dark, twisted and broken' batman, Dick is still 'the idealist, loved-by-all young man with amazing body!!' (score one for the boy)

Now, Bruce is no more (though I know he'll eventualy come back) and who else is better to fit that cape? who has the doubts, the hesitance needed to reamin ahero and not jsut a vigilante? who has shared the dream with Cruce the longest? who else understands Bruce as well as Dick?! huh? HUH?!

Oh yeah... I so can start making a 'Dick for Batman Campaign'...

I'll be vice president. If Bruce has to return I would only stand him if he was returned as a kind of mentor character like he was in the batman beyond cartoon.

I'm thinking of writing a small Batman story once I'm done with my X-men one. Think like a small graphic novel/limited series thus not bound by cannon.
